Lock and Key By Sarah Dessen
Yes, I finally read a book again. I chose a quick one and you can’t go wrong with Sarah Dessen. I need to stock up on new books for the next time I get sick.
This one was a great book, like all of Sarah Dessen’s they aren’t your basic romances. Yes, most of the time the main characters do end up together but that doesn’t mean they didn’t have to go through a lot to get there.
This book centers around issues of trust, family problems, and fresh starts.
There were a few unexpected twists and turns but no disappointings in the ending in my opinion. Another must read for fans of Sarah Dessen.
I knew that there were no guarantees. No way of knowing what came next for me, for him, or anybody. Some things don’t last forever, but some things do. Like a good song, or a good book, or a good memory you can take out and unfold in your darkest times, pressing down the corners and peering in close, hoping you still recognize the person you see there.

This Lullaby By Sarah Dessen
-Sarah Dessen is a really great teen romance writer, she has wrote many good books but this one has always stuck out in my mind for some reason. The great thing about Sarah Dessen’s books is that she is actually realistic about teen love. It’s not just happily ever after everytime and it isn’t easy. The main characters Remy and Dexter are complete opposities and Remy is very aware of it when they first meet. Remy’s life is very structures besides the fact she is more of the mother in her and her mom’s relationship and her dad left them long ago. I think that is why I relate to this book so well. That is another good thing about all of Sarah’s books, there is at least one that someone can relate to in some way.
